Owen Killian
Owen's Olympiad
Congratulations are due to an amazing feat by Owen Killian (T.Y.Aylmer). Owen earlier in the year took part in the Biology Olympiad, Irish Qualifying section, in DCU and was up against a group of Fifth Year Biology students from across the country. He qualified to represent Ireland in the European Biology Olympiad and up against Fifth Year biology students from across Europe. He got himself a Bronze Medal.
This was a truly amazing achievement! It would have been an amazing achievement had he been a Fifth Year student studying biology, but it is astoundingly amazing in that he hasn't yet begun to study Leaving Certificate Biology and yet he competed successfully with the best from Europe! Well done Owen. The entire College is proud.
