Getting Greener and Greener
The school’s “Be Seen to be Green” approach really seems to have taken affect.
It is clear from the huge uptake in recycling that students are stepping up to the challenge and considering the environment. It is clearly evident that the new Green School approach is proving to be a huge success and is making fundamental changes in the way the college operates when it comes to waste.
This year the Green Schools Committee succeeded in achieving their main aim of getting the Green Flag for the college. We are happy to formally announce that Belvedere is now a Green School.
Throughout the year a completely new attitude and outlook towards the environment has been achieved in the college. The year saw huge numbers of people enthusiastically getting involved in green projects and clean-up days, so it is hardly surprising that the inspection for the Green Flag proved to be a huge triumph.
